The Division of Building and Fire Regulations is responsible for the promulgation of the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and Statewide Fire Prevention Code, as well as the VA Building Code Academy, which provides training and certification of code officials and technical assistants. The division also administers the Amusement Device Technical Advisory Committee, Industrialized Buildings Program, the Manufactured Housing Program and the State Technical Review Board. I currently serve on the board of directors of the International Code Council and the National Institute of Building Sciences for which I also serve on the executive leadership team and as the board liaison to the National Council on Building Codes and Standards. In Virginia, I serves on the board of directors for Viridiant (formerly EarthCraft Virginia).
